Which item monitors if ssh is unresponsive?

Hi,

I am trying to figure out what item will be best suited for monitoring if sshd is unresponsive on linux servers, and I see a couple of options.

I will try them all out, but may get the answer before I run through them all.

1. proc.num[sshd]
2. net.tcp.service[ssh]
