user account sync between master and slave node

I have a small distributed setup with a master and a child node. I see that when I create a new user on the master it is not created on the slave. Is it possible for user accounts to be syncronized between master and slave ?

If I'm not mistaken the two nodes are completely independent of each other when it comes to users and groups so you must create users on both nodes.

Say you want to one person to have access to the slave and not the master?
