Changing SNMP version for a template

Hi,

I am using the Dell PowerConnect template, which has more than 100 items and they are all using SNMPv2c with a specific community string (public).



How can I change the whole template so every items in it now uses SNMPv3 with a defined username and password?

You need to go to the Configuration of Items screen for your template.
Select all items (little check box at the top left).
At the bottom of the page, select Mass update.

On the Mass Update screen, check the 'type' box, then select snmpV3. Then fill in your snmp V3 details in the next sections.
