can i migrate existing production standalone to distributed node environment.

Yea, stop Zabbix, run:

./zabbix_server -n 1 -c /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf

And start Zabbix again.

Make sure you replace 1 with the NodeID from zabbix_server.conf.

make sure you execute that command above with care and make sure you backup your databases before hand.. Once you do it there is NO GOING BACK... Make sure you have the proper nodeid and such.. good luck
