    history, trends and graphs cleanup

    We are running zabbix 1.8.5 runing for a few weeks. now i want to put the system in production but with a clean setup with no historical data or trends data and also no display on graphs when viewed in the latest data.
    I checked the forums and ran "clear history for selected" on all items, truncated the history* and trends tables following http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthre...eaning+history
    and following
    http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20256,

    But still when i go to monitoring latest data and see the graphs for an items that just monitors ping on a host i still see the graph for all the older weeks that i do not want.

    does anyone can help me to get rid of this data on the graphs and start with a clear graph from today for the items configured.

    With housekeeping configured i could see it is cleaning up only for certain items and not for all items. for ex when i configure housekeeping to keep history and trends for 3 days only, it works for network traffic but not for monitoring port 80 or agent ping. Its strange that housekeeping does not work 100% for all items. anyone has a clue where i could look further........

    let me know. thankx

    With house keeping configured and running the querry

    delete trends t FROM trends t JOIN items i ON i.itemid = t.itemid WHERE clock < (unix_timestamp() - trends * 3600 * 24) AND i.status = 0;
    delete trends t FROM trends_uint t JOIN items i ON i.itemid = t.itemid WHERE clock < (unix_timestamp() - trends * 3600 * 24) AND i.status = 0;

    gave me a clean config for the hosts......

    everything is working now as wished
