Dear all,
I have read almost all the manual pages and have been following this forum for some time. But, still I could not understand something.
I installed Zabbix 1.8.8 on Centos 6. There is no problem with the machine (10.0.0.32) I installed Zabbix server and agent on.
I installed Zabbix agent on another Centos 6 server (10.0.0.33). I added it to the Zabbix server using the UI and with Linux template. The status for this server is "Monitored" and "Z" letter in the availability column is green. So, It looks like everything is setup properly.
However, there is one problem. When I click on Configurations -> Hosts -> Items (for the server at 10.0.0.33) shows zero item. Although number of total items shows up as 102, nothing comes up when clicked. And the dreaded "No active checks on server: host [mailserver] not found" is also available.
BTW, hostname "mailserver" is exactly the same on Zabbix agent and server. I know it is case sensitive. Also, firewalls are disabled on both servers.
Please help me to understand this issue.
Thanks.
