Monitor free space RAID volume or /dev/mapper/

    Hi there,

I'm very new to Zabbix and loving it already. Unfortunately, my Linux knowledge isn't that great but it's in proving

I would would like to know if there's a way to monitor free disk space on a RAID volume in Linux ?
I think it should be fairly easy to do, but I just can't figure out how...

On the linux systems I can see /dev/mapper/lvmgroup1-servername_u and /dev/mapper/lvmgroup1-servername_data.
But I can find a way to monitor the free space on these volumes.

Can anybody help me through this ??

    Are they mounted?

If they are mounts just monitor the mount point:

    vfs.fs.size[/ora01,used]

For us these are Oracle mounts and they are mounted with /dev/mapper/ actually we use iscsi so after reboot the /dev/mapper/mpath number changes but the mount point always stays the same so its easier to monitor the actual mount point then the name.

      Thnx, for the reply.
I already tried the mounting point but I forgot something while doing that...
I was creating triggers without configuring an item first.
Think I've stared too much to zabbix today
But thanks again for the advice, it made me look again and this time it works!
