    Upgrade Zabbix 1.8.4 to 1.8.10

    Hi !

I would like to upgrade my Zabbix 1.8.4 to 1.8.10 which is set up on a CentOS. First, I upgraded my CentOS. Then, I made this step (in attchment):

But when I'm trying to access Zabbix, I can see my version is 1.8.4 again. I didn't find any solution about this type of upgrade (only 1.6.x to 1.8.4 but not 1.8.x to 1.8.x). If someone has the solution or could indicate me if I forgot one step.

Thank you so much in advance !

    I think it is necessary:

    chown apache:apache /var/www/html/zabbix/conf

Thank you for your reply !

Do I need to enter this command between "service mysqld start" and "rm -rf /var/www/html/zabbix/*" ?

Hi, Blacksnowflakes! Thanks for your discussions. I've been troubled with upgrading zabbix 1.8.4 to zabbix 1.8.10 for a long time.

May I know that did you finish the upgrading successfully?
I am using zabbix appliance -- a virtual machine file with zabbix_server preinstalled in opensuse 11.3. I've followed your steps and done the make install process.
But in zabbix appliance, there's no such directory of /var/www/html/zabbix.
I guess your steps including the "chown" step are to renew the frontends php files. So I just connect the zabbix_server from IE, and use the "Administration——Installation" to reinstall the frontends. However, after the installation is done, zabbix is still 1.8.4, with the following information
Zabbix 1.8.4 Copyright 2001-2010 by SIA Zabbix
          shown in the web page.

Perhaps the structrue of zabbix_server in the virtual machine appliance is different from a real source-installed one. I can't figure the problem.
