aggregate data

Hello,

I have 4 hosts which have a particular item (float). I would like to aggregate this data (sum and then divide by 4) into one as a virtual item. Is that possible to do?

I am not sure, but I don't think this does different hosts it will only do count() and avg() on a single host.

sum of hostA and hostB and hostC

actually, aggregate item would be just that - avg for a specific item on all hosts in a host group.

alternatively, you could use a calculated item, but it would require an update every time you add a host to the group or remove a host from it
