Help to Log monitoring

Hi,

I try to set up a log monitoring. but it's don't work..

In first, i create an item called : "Log monitoring Test"

- key : log[/var/lib/zabbix/home/zabbix.log,error,,100]
- type : zabbix agent active
- type of information : log

(What does error realy mean ?)

After i configure my zabbix agent like this :

DisableActive=0
MaxLinesPerSecond=100

I create the file zabbix.log with good permission.

Sometime it's work, sometime item is not supported..

Log file :

17741:20120104:153612.129 Item [*****:log[/var/lib/zabbix/home/zabbix.log,error,,100]] became supported
17741:20120104:153747.461 Item [*****:log[/var/lib/zabbix/home/zabbix.log,error,,100]] became not supported: ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED


Plz someone can help me ?

- key : log[/var/lib/zabbix/home/zabbix.log,"error",,100]

I tried it, after save it was worked just during 1 minute.


17741:20120104:164814.239 Item [*****:log[/var/lib/zabbix/home/zabbix.log,"error",,100]] became supported
17741:20120104:164949.597 Item [*****:log[/var/lib/zabbix/home/zabbix.log,"error",,100]] became not supported: ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED


I tried with this key : log[/var/lib/zabbix/home/zabbix.log]... Idem

Maybe items is supported just the time to read the file ? Or when a file has been modified ?
