    Zabbix 1.8.4 to 1.8.10 upgrade

It is my understanding that upgrading between minor revisions just requires upgrading the zabbix_server itself and the web frontend (as well as running any mysql updates that are mentioned in release notes) according to the documentation.

I just wanted to check and ensure that this also means that the Zabbix Proxy binaries do not need to be upgraded on any proxy servers.

    Thanks!

the release notes come into play here.

    eg
    http://www.zabbix.com/rn1.8.10.php

Use the release notes selector on the left.

      Thanks!

I am slightly confused regarding the following statements however:

      Code:
      Upgrade
Recompile Zabbix binaries and update front-end PHP files.

      And on this page: http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/...tion/upgrading

      Code:
For change level releases only upgrading of server binary and frontend is required. If mentioned in release notes, optional indexes may be added to the database to improve performance. Upgrading can be easily performed over several versions, for example, upgrading from 1.8.1 to 1.8.3 can be performed in single step.

I've gone through all of the release notes and none of them mention anything about needing to upgrade proxies or agents immediately. I just want to ensure I am not presented with a surprise when performing this upgrade. Proxies and agents are *not* required to be upgraded immediately when upgrading the server and front end, correct?
