    Network usage on Windows

    i have a little problem, i run the zabbix_agentd on my Windows servers. It monitors processes, cpu load, memory usage and so on. now, i want to monitor network uage.
    i downloaded windows templates on zabbix site but it doesn't include items for monitoring network.

    So i think that i have to create item on zabbix server but i dont know how to set it(parameter). pls help me.

    second, on windows xp (installed zabbix agent), open zabbix-agent.conf, add:
    PerfCounter = NetIn,"\Network Interface(the name of my network adapter)\Bytes Received/sec",60

    PerfCounter = NetOut,"\Network Interface((the name of my network adapter)\Bytes Sent/sec",60

    i dont forget restart zabbix agent services.

    let me know if i am wrong somethings.

    Thanks,
    The Nguyen

        You cannot use perfconter definations at the agent (in the agent config file). You only need to make/clon items at the zabbix server.

        If you are new to zabbix look here for basis setup:
        Zabbix - into (the book!):
        http://www.packtpub.com/sites/defaul...pleChapter.pdf
        (Maybe also here: http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22211)

        And/or here for items creation at the zabbix server
        http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/...l/config/items
        (well zabbix ver. 2 manual - but better describtion then in 1.8)
