system overall state

Hy,

i want to display a system overall state, like a traffic light.

Green => if everything is ok
Red => if there is a error on a component which is not acknowledged
Orange => there is error on a component, but this was already acknowledged

is there any possiblity to sum up all states to implement something like this???

i've the same need also - to present a high level view for a host group and/or a selection of items. Would be interested on hearing about any such solutions.
