First admin login doesn't work / Erster Admin-Login schlägt fehl

    Hi Forum!

    I installed zabbix from RPMs:
    - zabbix-1.0-2.rhfc4.at.i386.rpm
    - zabbix-agent-1.0-2.rhfc4.at.i386.rpm
    - zabbix-phpfrontend-1.0-2.rhfc4.at.i386.rpm

after filling the MySQL-Database, i wasn't able to log in as "admin" at the frontend (apache, MySQL, PHP are working correctly).
I reinstalled zabbix and refilled the user-table without success...

    What do i do wrong?
You may also contact me by ICQ (UIN: 130715519).

    Thanks, J2B4U

    =====================================

    Hallo Forum!

Ich habe Zabbix aus den RPMs
    - zabbix-1.0-2.rhfc4.at.i386.rpm
    - zabbix-agent-1.0-2.rhfc4.at.i386.rpm
    - zabbix-phpfrontend-1.0-2.rhfc4.at.i386.rpm
    installiert.

    Was mache ich falsch?
Hilfe auch gerne per ICQ (130715519)!

    Vielen Dank,
    J2B4U

    I have now Zabbix V 1.1beta8 installed.
That works well with fedora core 4, php5 and apache2.

Thank you, krusty, for helping me....

          I uninstalled zabbix-1.0-2.rhfc4.at.i386.rpm and installed Zabbix V 1.1beta8.
I didn't find RPMs for V1.1 (if someone knows any please let me know), so i had to compile the tar.gz...

Could php5 have been the problem?

cookies are enabled. still can't log in.

cookies are enabled. still can't log in. same behavior in IE and Firefox.

user zabbix has all privs on database zabbix.

httpd runs on port 82. but zabbix php pages come up fine.
            i have parallel mysql servers (v3,4,5) running on different ports and sockets. include/db.conf.php:$DB_SERVER = "localhost:/var/lib/mysql3/mysql.sock";
can't specify port and socket in this variable, but socket should be enough.

            zabbix1.1beta8
            apache2
            php4.4.2 (apachehandler)
            mysql3.23.58

I must be connecting the database alright. If I take remove value for $DB_USER or $DB_PASSWORD in db.inc.php I get a php/mysql error on index.php. Setting them back and the page comes up fine.
