    linux CPU usage as %

    Hi.
I have a server with 2 cpu each 8 cores . I have been asked to monitor the percentage usage per cpu (not per core) . I cant see how to do this, in the manual unless is missed something..

    Any advise ?

    Thanks

You might want to look at the attached template.

    8 cores, or 8 threads?
This template, which supports 16 CPUs was put together for a 2 x Quad-core environment as the number of "CPUs" reported will be double the core value if it has Hyper-Threading enabled.

It works in both Windows and Linux.

Each CPU has 8 cores. I'm monitoring per core temp and lm-sensors displays 16 temperature readings for the 2 CPUs .

Thanks for the template I'll give it a go.
