    Edit Severity level

    Hi all!!
i have searched a bit about this issue and i have found an old thread link related with my post but there isn't any answer.
what i want to do is add a new severity field called "DOWN" or at least edit an existing one and rename it to "DOWN". disaster is ok but i would prefer to have a severity level called "DOWN", it is possible? i would bet you can but i don't know how to do it.
    thanks a lot!!

    Hello wikisb,

if you have upgraded (of course not for production use) zabbix to version 1.9.9 you can easily customise trigger severities : http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/...stomseverities.

Think you can use "locales" to change the names (I have not done it):
      http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/...administration (sec. 3.9)

(I ver. 2.0 there is also this ref. in the manual:
      http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/...stomseverities)

            issue solved.
you can do it through Administrator -> Locales and then change the string you want to your elected string, and then download the my-locale.inc.php and then copy this file ontop of the language file you are using, in my case i copy it to /include/locales as en_gb.inc.php.
You also can do it through opening the language file you are using, in my case en_gb.inc.php and locate the string you want to change to you elected string, save the file and thats it.
            Thanx

the problem i have is that when a trigger fires, the message i receive, the subject is like : {HOSTNAME}: {TRIGGER.NAME}: {TRIGGER.SEVERITY} but changing in locales or in en_gb.inc.php Disaster to Down, the subject i receive it's still of Disaster and not Down. but when i create a trigger i can set the severity to down because i changed disaster to down.
              anyone knows why¿?¿?¿?
              thanks
