Hi,
we run zabbix 1.9.9 agent on AIX 6.1, on LPARs as well on VIOs. Recently we lost a disk partition, IBM support concluded it was a "reservation conflict" on the disk partition and pointed Zabbix as a potential root cause.
This record was found in the IBM Knowledge Database by the support:
==================================
... the Zabbix monitoring software has the potential to
temporarily put reserves on a disk, you should
consider disabling any monitoring software/agents
for now and keep an eye on things ..
==================================
IBM requested0 Zabbix to be desinstalled from VIOs.
Are you aware of such problem?
As (from what I know ... to tell the truth, not a lot) VIOs and LPARs have same OS, how can Zabbix be supported on LPARs and not on VIOs?
Thanks for help or any comment,
Alain
