I have an existing Zabbix server that I would like to move to our VMWare ESXi server. I can't seem to find any information on how to perform the move or if it has been done successfully. All assistance appreciated.

I believe you can convert a physical server to a virtual machine with VMware vCenter Converter Standalone -

I can verify that the VMware converter will work in many cases, however be advised that Grub 2 presents an issue for it at this time, causing conversion to fail as the boot sector needs updating after conversion. Apparently the VMware converter does not recognize GRUB 2, causing the problem.
This as tested with Ubuntu 11.04. VMware's forum offers detail, but the proposed fix has not worked for me. If I find a solution I'll repost.
