question about upgrading zabbix client

I have 10 + servers with v1.0 client. Can I simply upgrade them to 1.1betaX and keep the same zabbix_agentd.conf file? Would I use the latest zabbix_agentd.conf and copy\paste user parameters from the old one. Please keep in mind that I am still wanting to utilize user parameters. Will this confuse a zabbix 1.0 server with unsupported items?

My goal here is to migrate all 1.0 clients to at least 1.1beta7 and keep all user parameter items intact and to work with a 1.1beta8 server.

As I state on that page, I only wrote it to support items that I was monitoring so I would definately use it at your own risk (back up your database)

but it should do the lion's share of the conversion for you

ok, I will look it over and talk to my developers

I am a linux admin, with little programming exp, but I will show them your script and I am positive they can make sense of it and then we can work together to migrate. I am looking forward to the stable release of 1.1.
