We installed hp-snmp-agents and hp-health (CentOS on a Proliant dl360g6) to monitor the state of the Zabbix server hardware. Having just deployed a new HP 8206zl core switch, i was compelled to get snmp trap processing worked out and as a first step set up a basic traphandler to collect traps into a log. However, right after after enabling snmptrapd, HP Insight started sending email for every link up/down trap received from the switch:
HP has been pretty useless so far in appreciating what a pain the a** this is. Has anyone found a way of preventing HP Insight from snooping and reporting external traps?
