Graph not plotting all of the data

Hi:

I am fairly new to zabbix but I have come accross something that I could not resolve. I am monitoring the number of processes on a Solaris box and I have on one instance reached over 300 processes. The problem is that the graph for that time period does not reflect that. In the index of the graph it does say [min: 91 max: 307 last:116.57] but the graph never shows a peek of more than 150.

Any thought would be greatly appreciated.

This is because the graph shows averaged values not MAX!

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there a way to change the characteristics of this graph to show actual and not AVG?

I notice the values in the graph dip below the minimum value line on the graph (x-axis). Would it be possible to add a mode where you can choose a fixed value for the minimum value, and allow Zabbix to calculate the maximum value? Perhaps visa versa just to give people the option.

By default (in the php) when graphing values 7days or greater the data is pulled from the trends table instead of the history table. The problem is that if it's pulling it's data from the trends table then the min and max values should accurately match what is graphed.

I don't think trends were ever really defined however, I *believe* they are 15min avrages of the history data but I'm not sure.

I have noticed this problem with graphs and it's on my list of things to look at and see if I can figure out what's going wrong. I have noticed that the problem exaggerates itself the longer the period of the graph is (e.g. a 1 week graph is *close* but a 1 month graph shows serious deviation graphicly).

Alexei, could you quickly describe what the methodology is for retreiving and plotting this data? It doesn't have to be super in depth, just a A then B then C kind of thing. A couple of people have pointed this out to me and want me to take a look at it to sync up the data for our local installation here and it'd save me a ton of time if I didn't have to walk through the whole thing myself
