    Some LDAP Authentication queries

    Hi,
I am looking at switching our zabbix server over to ldap authentication. Can someone clarify the following points for me:

    1. Do we need to create the "Admin" account in ldap before switching over?
    2. How do zabbix user groups and permissions map to an ldap account when either an existing or new user logs in and is authenticated via the ldap server?
    3. If ldap authentication breaks for some reason how do we switch the zabbix server back to local authentication?

    Regards,
    David

When you create a group, there is an option for what type of front end access.

Change that to internal, and it will use the zabbix built in authentication.

Then you can assign admin and any other users to that group and it will override the default setting of LDAP.

You can also use these users to set the default back to Internal.

      Hi,
Thanks for that info. I didn't realise it worked that way.
