Trigger Expression retrive is different and cannot update expression

Hi i notice that the trigger expression i retrive via api is different on what is see on zabbix admin? and why cant i update the expression via api?

I am new to zabbix and I am stuck at a point where I cannot create a trigger. I get errors like "preg_match(): Compilation failed: unknown option bit(s) set at offset 0 [api/classes/CTriggerExpression.php:93]"
and I am on the latest zabbix version 2.0.2. Any help is appreciated.
