Step by step upgrade to zabbix 2.0

Does anyone have a step by step tutoral about how to upgrade from zabbix 1.8.x to zabbix 2.0?

Zabbix manual says "4 Install new server binaries"

But how should i do that? what are the parameters to use with ./configure file?
make and make install doesn't work!

anybody can help with the step 4?

Are you looking at the correct manual 1.8 or 2.0?

What did you configure first time round?


Under section 4.
To see all of the supported configuration options, inside the extracted Zabbix source directory run:

./configure --help

Here is my configuration on compilation.

./configure --enable-server --prefix=/usr/local/zabbix --with-mysql --with-net-snmp --with-jabber --with-libcurl --with-openipmi --enable-agent

make install

If you compile binaries from source then better use same configuration which was before.

Getting back to 1.8

Thanks for the helping guys but i will get back to 1.8!
Version 2.0 didn't recognized all the tables and i will lost a lot of effort done on version 1.8.
