Howto optimize Load?

Hello,

I just installed zabbix 1.1beta8, and monitor about 40 Servers with snmp. My problem is now, that the load from the monitor-server grows and grows due to mysql processes. How to optimize mysql/zabbix_server settings to reduce load? My Problem ist, that the load is now about 1.5 till 2.0.

Start more suckers? or more trappers? How to optimize the my.cnf? The monitor-server is a p4-2.4 with 1gb ram and ide-hd.

How many pollers (suckers) you have configured in zabbix_server.conf?

I start atm 16 Suckers and 6 Trappers.
