Zabbix Not Doing any Checks

I just rebuilt our Zabbix system from 1.8.13 to 2.0 and I did not have any issues getting it up and going. I have it connecting to an external mysql server. I know it is communicating with each other because when I got look at the tables in the database, I see the information I put it.

Now my issue is that I cannot get Zabbix to do any checks or grab information from devices. I have tried doing many different checks such as ping, snmp check, and using the Zabbix Agent. I am not for sure what is going on here.

Can someone give me some guidance on why it is not working the way it is suppose to be? Thanks

I think I have figured it out. It took me a few days but after digging through some logs I figured it out. The zabbix user and group did not have the permission to create the pid and it could not fire the process to do these checks.
