    Simple question about External Checks

    Hey guys,

I have a bash script that calculates a certain number.
Is it possible to have that number returned to Zabbix and collected for graphs making?

    Thanks!

Sure it is possible. As a matter of fact, zabbix_sender does exactly what you want
you can find info on zabbix_sender here

This was actually a whole lot easier than that
No need for a "sender" unless you want to send out info from an external source.
Just make sure your script outputs it's data to the screen\shell and setup an External Check item and you're done.

However, if the script runs over 3 seconds the item will get timed out. So I had to alter it in zabbix_server.conf.

      Much appreciated my friend!
