Script or mechanism to automatically put server into MAINTENANCE MODE in Zabbix

We use Tivoli Storage Manager for backups.
The backups are heavily scripted, and are kicked off from CRON.

When the servers go into quiesce mode to do the backup we get alot of
alerts (TNS down, Concurrent Down, Oracle Down, Applications down, etc) that are not necessary.

I would like to find a way to either via a script to put the server into a maintenance mode, or perhaps use the "USERPARAM" to check to see if a backup is running, then run something in Zabbix to put the server into maintenance mode.

Has anyone done this, or have any idea how to do this?

The only other was I can think of putting into maintenance mode is since the backups are kicked off from CRON I can start maintenance mode just prior to backup and then estimate the backup time to take it out, but realistically I'd like something more dynamic than this.

Any ideas/comments would be very appreciated.

    Regards,
    David

    Hi
Try look at this - not sure who made it.
Join the friendly and open Zabbix community on our forums and social media platforms.

There is some other scripts and/or discussions in the forum as I remember.

Some also just make a Maintenance group - then putting the host in and out of that group when in maintenance or not.

Or maybe look into trigger dependency?
