how to use host groups

Hi,

I suppose that I can create a host group to include some hosts and then add items to the group (affecting all the hosts in the group). But I can't seem to find a way to do it. Please help.

go into the Item and choose add to Group at the bottom.

There is only an "add to all hosts" button at the bottom. There is no way to choose a group.

Which version of zabbix are you using?

In beta8 onwards there is an optionto add to the group:

when you create an item there is a group option below the save button select the group and select add to the group.

I'm using v1.0. So, there is no practical use of host group in v1.0?
