Two items having the same key

    Hi,

I'd like to 1) monitor say the CPU load to look for spikes that need immediate action; 2) record the trend of the CPU load over a long period such as a year.

To meet 1), the interval should be short such as 60 seconds. To meet 2), the history should be long such as 365 days. To meet both requirements, a lot of data will have to be kept.

To solve this problem, I was trying to use two items: One has a short interval and short history, the other has a long interval and a long history. But zabbix complains that two items can't have the same key. How do you handle situations like this?

    Thanks!

Create one items having history setting 1 day and trends set to 365 days.

When I try to add the second item, it says: "An item with the same Key already exists for this host. The key must be unique."

          I don't see a "trend" setting. I'm using v1.0.

I'm sorry, I should have asked about version of ZABBIX. It is not supported in 1.0.

It's OK. So, there is no solution in v1.0?
