    Change discovery rules

I have enabled SNMP on my windows Server.
Then, I have linked "Template SNMP Interfaces" to it.
I found out that it has discoved lots of useless interfaces.
I wonder if it would be possible to edit the discover rule so that it could discover ONLY interfaces that have a specific Alias or a specific IP address associated to it (like: 10.*).

In this way I hope to discover only interfaces that are worth of monitoring

In my personal opinion, discovery is great feature, you can discover host, link it to template and start monitoring almost without human interaction.

You can create new or modify existed discovery

I found the answer on this page
      http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/...evel_discovery

In Administration -> General -> Regex, there are some regext that I have customized to get only the interfaces I need. Then, I changed the discovery rule to use this global regex (@<regex name)

      Thnks!
