rephrase: how can I limit what users see

I'm trying to find a way to let a user see only a subset of host/item/trigger/action/graph/map information.

Basically I want to say user webmaster can see everything associated with host webserver - or better yet, hostgroup webservers.

I've been playing around with user permissions and resource ids, but I can't see an easy way to do this without making the default permission "hide" then manually typing in every itemid, hostid, screenid, etc. that I want them to see.

Please enlighten me!

I wouldn't mind going through the trouble of manually describing each and every permissions detail if I were able to do it on the level of User Group.
At least that way I'd only have to do it once.
