Problem fo converting tables when settting DM

Hello,everyone. I'm trying the distributed monitoring on zabbix appliance 1.8.9. When I set a childnode using following command:

./zabbix_server -n 2 -c /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf

I got a problem, the "Converting tables..........." lasted for more than 12 hours without a "Conversion completed." shown. And when I went to the web frontend, I got the "Your setup is not configured for distributed monitoring" message.

I also got some problems with my zabbix when "Converting tables........" is still on. I add the picture of the problems to the attachements.

Any help is appreciated.

I wait more than 48 hours , and the converting process finally completed.
But I got an error message showed in the attachement picture, and the frontend page showed "Your setup is not configured for distributed monitoring".

I'm afraid the problem is I have too many history records in the zabbix database. But I wonder that if I clear the histroy records or set the distributed mornitoring using a blank database, then when my records grows, I mean, to a large quantity, will the DM be out of function ?
