Problem with Maintenance

I have problem with Maintenance. I set maintenance plan and it don't work properly. Sometimes happend that host which is add to Maintenance have alarm send mail and sms with alerts and sometimes don't do it.
It's strange. Why sometimes it's send alerts and sometimes no?

Even now, I have one host in Maintenance. Host is unreachable, but sometimes on dashboard Zabbix is displayed that host is unreachable and sometimes it's clear.
