Monitoring Filesystem bigger than one terabyte

    Hi,

I´m setting up a VMware Monitoring via VMware API. The Value I get form my external check is retund in GB, so i use "B" as Units and 1073741824 as custom multiplier.

As example the value my script returns is 1394.25. But I get "Type of received value [1497064538112.000000] is not suitable for value type [Numeric (float)]" as item not supportet error. The Datastore is 1,36TB big.

How can I resolve the problem?

    EDIT:
Currently I´m using Zabbix 2.0.1 with MySQL Database

I am in the same boat. I have several filesystems > 1 TB and they will not show up in Zabbix.

(...) : Type of received value [1565707001856.000000] is not suitable for value type [Numeric (float)]

Zabbix 2.0.2, recent windows agent (64 bit)

Update: Switched to unsigned numerics, works fine now.

      Hi,
Raise a bug/feature request and in the meantime use a script along with zabbix sender to return values to zabbix that it can handle. That's what I'd do without thinking about it a bit more.

      Regards,
      David

        Hi,

Change your script to return in bytes (1394.25 x 1073741824) round it and set item type DECIMAL.

It should fit what you want.

        Best,
        Grzegorz
