Installing zabbix onto Percona DB from repo with it uninstalling percona?

I am using Percona DB because I am looking to get some more performance out of mysql. However, if you install Zabbix from the repo on Ubuntu, it uninstalls Percona and installs the standard myslq library by default. Is there any way to prevent this behavior?

Currently I am just compiling zabbix server to get around this, but that's a long process.

Did you find an answer somewhere or did you install from source?

I installed it from source after installing Percona. I can provide a guide if you'd like.

I realize this is basically a year old, but here is an auto-install script that will compile Zabbix 2.2 on top of Percona 5.6. You don't have to do anything but clone the repo and run
          Code:
          ./bootstrap
Here's the repo and here is my blog post that explains a little about it.

I don't know about Ubuntu, but I'm using CentOS 6, Zabbix 2.2 from repos and Percona XtraDB Cluster 5.6. All I had to do was uninstall mysql lib ignoring dependencies and installing Percona's libs and shared libs and I was good to go.
