    Host Status

I have zabbix running(on a FreeBSD workstation) monitoring a Linux and Window server in a test environment. If 1 unplug the network connection on the Window/Linux server the host status goes to zero, and never seems to recover when I plug the network connection back. On the Hosts display it shows the status correctly.

Also on the Linux server the Ping test doesn't fail. It still shows all 1's

Again it seems that the history of the host status doesn't work correctly. The rest of the history seems to work correctly.

I have this same problem. With SNMP hosts the status is OK on a map no matter what the status is. No one has replied to my post and I can't find information about it.

I'm not aware of the problem. Just tested it on 1.1beta9 and it worked fine.

        same problem

I have had the same problem. I'm using the new agent.ping for triggering host down. I can take a host down by any method and everything just starts blinking grey (host unreachable) and yet the ping trigger still blinks green and the action for the agent.ping is not triggered.

I am also using beta 9.

I've switched all of the servers to active checks and have not tested or determined the best way to alert host down yet. Need to search the forums but if anyone has an immediate answer I would be greatful.

This is a wonderful product and will have over 30 servers and 100 desktops being monitored over the next couple months. I give you my applause.
