    V2.0.2 snmp and cisco

    Hi

Seems like the auto discovery for process snmp doesn't seemed to be working on cisco routers

    snmpwalk -c pp -v 2c dcsw1 HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad
    doesn't work were are

    snmpwalk -c pp-v 2c dcsw1 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.1

does work. So is hrProcessorLoad wrong..

Does somebody have an template for cisco routers with discovery rules ?

I could be wrong but as far i can see the problem its not the router or zabbix. Infact you cand recognize the OID names with snmpwalk. The problem its simply that your linux box ( where you make snmpwalk) dont have the MIB for those OIDs. You should look for a MIB that include Cisco propietary OIDS and the use it when you use snmpwalk ( with -m ).

      hi

no not really. But it is the wrong oid for a router.. That oid is for ... well I think a pc/server..

      Found the right oid

This document seems to cover it

This document describes how to collect CPU utilization on Cisco IOS® devices that use Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).

        Cisco SNMP dynamic template

        Hi to all,

I am sending working SNMP autodiscovery template for Cisco devices. It should work for other SNMP switches too. It supports interfaces monitoring, CPU, Temperature and Fans. Feel free to use. It can be used for L3 switches too but it does not include L3 informations. We tested on 2950s , 2960s, 6500, 3750 and some HP procurves.

        Should work in zabbix 2.0+

              Hi
There is bug in 2.0.0 when you try to import Templates.
Upgrade at least frontend to the version 2.0.2

              Bests,

hi, I am trying to find the snmp oid 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.49.1.1.1.1.4 for enterasys switches to get its cpu load, and i got reply if i make a snmpwalk ,but if i put this snmp oid in zabbix ,its not giving me any value ,just saying "not supported and no such instance is currently exist"
Do you have any solution for that ?

                    Can't get Template_Cisco_SNMP_Autodiscovery to work

                    Hi zabbix community

First of all, i'm quite new to zabbix, but here goes.

I have added the template to a catalyst 3560 with the following configuration:
                    Code:
                    snmp-server user ROUSER ROGROUP v2c
snmp-server group ROGROUP v2c read ROVIEW access 10
                    snmp-server view ROVIEW mib-2 included
                    snmp-server view ROVIEW cisco included
                    snmp-server community ROCOMMUNITY RO 10
                    snmp ifmib ifindex persist
and I have changed the community strin from public to ROUSER in the template.

I have also changed the discovery_rule -> snmp_oid's on ifDescr and ifAlias, to IF-MIB::ifDescr and IF-MIB::ifAlias.

But the only information I get is "CPU" and "Simple Check"

If I on the other hand run:
                    Code:
                    snmpwalk 192.168.1.250 -v2c -c ROUSER IF-MIB::ifDescr
I get a list of all the interfaces on the switch, so the data is accessable, but doesn't show up in zabbix...

                      Functional template

                      Hi to all,

template is just working for us. I am sending latest version. Please note. It is critical to set regular expressions filter before importing template. Look into attached pic.

So, define regexp conditions, import template and enjoy. Main problem is that discovery finds even interfaces which has not all snmp values included (like null). So you have to filter it during discovery.

                        hi
I test to import the template to zabbix server,
made a group with name 'cisco' firstly.
and made a conditions likes your note.
but got a error when importing the file:

Empty filter condition macro for discovery rule "Interfaces descriptions".

                        how to solved?

                        thanks a lot.
