Timeout before reading OID values

Hello,

I'm wondering if there is a possibility to force zabbix to query different host at different moments after startup?

E.g. If I turn the zabbix off and after a week I turn it on again. In what sequence will it ask individual hosts for its OID values? If I would have 1000 stations, I turn the Zabbix ON, would the zabbix guery all the stations at the start? Or is it so clever that it somehow spread these queries to the longer time? Or is it somehow configurable?

E.g. After startup, start OID requests for station 1, after 5 minutes, start station 2, ...

Or just something similar...

If I remember correctly the pollers loop through all items whose last check compared to the current time exceeds their intervall. Regardless if they are just started or running for longer time.
