Graph Smoothing - How To Turn It Off?

I have an external script which tracks events in a log file and reports the results every 5 minutes to Zabbix. This data is then graphed. This data is spot data: The values are valid for that point in time only.

Zabbix is looking at my data and going "ok you have a value of 1 here and a value of 2 on the next one, with a gap in between where no data was reported, so I'll join those two points for you so you can see what happened between that time". Normally this is good as it provides a nice average, but the values I'm using are explicit spot values. Smoothing the values where there is no data is presenting an obviously incorrect picture to me and I'd like to be able to turn it off.

I've attached 2 images: 1 from Zabbix to show what is happening and what I'm seeing, and another from another monitoring program (ZenOSS) that exhibits the behavior I'm trying to achieve.

Does anyone know how to turn off the "graph smoothing" that Zabbix does?

I see that it is an old thread. But I am interested in the same thing. Is this possible?
