Delay between messages vs delay between repeats

Could someone please explain to me what these mean in creating an action:

1) Delay Between Messages
2) Repeat
3) Delay Beween Repeats

To me they just seem redundant and confusing. I scoured the forums but I couldn't find the answers.

Ok I really don't get this. I have an action that's set up for

30 sec delay between messages
repeat ON
60 sec delay between repeats for 3 times

When the trigger goes from FALSE to TRUE - I get exactly three emails total.

Once the trigger goes back from TRUE to FALSE, I also start getting the repeat emails (and the STATUS never changes from ON to OFF in the email subject). What's the purpose of these repeat emails when the alert actually clears? (especially the trigger status doesn't change in your email subject). I want the emails to repeat during the alert (while status is ON) only. Perhaps I'm missing something.

I have got the same problem.

I have made an "Media" for Sending a SMS. Last night a server with 10 triggers went down, i got 60 messages on my mobile phone, not funny anymore

Does anyone know how to fix this?
