Configuring notifications

We are trying to add triggers for email notifications but we are not getting any email. Our email configuration is correct but we have issue on configuring triggers.

Can you please update how to add email notifications when a website is down or mysql service got stop etc...

Please let us know is there any simple method to accomplish this.

Have you added an action that sends your email yet?
Whenevery a trigger fires based on item values, it will trigger every action there is and the actions will run or skip based on conditions like access rights and specific action conditions.
triggers will work fine in the dash board even without actions, but you will not receive notifications.
