What can windows agent do ?

Hi,

I'm looking for a monitoring solution that will be used mainly for Windows servers, ideally not SNMP based.

What I would like to know is what the Windows agent can do. I need to be able to monitor the following;

disk space
whether a given service is running or not
ram usage
processor usage
event log errors
ideally the output of custom made VB scripts (that could allow me to monitor anything)

ZABBIX agent supports all of the above.

Besides that, you can monitor whatever you want by using:
- Performance Counters
- Custum scripts

Zabbix is really flexible in what you want to monitor, only your immagination is the limit.

Sounds perfect, but how to do i run and return the output of a custom script ?

I can see various vfs.fs parameters to gain info ABOUT a file, but I cant see a way of running a file and getting its output.

Any ideas?

Any update on how to configure Zabbix to get output of custom VB script?

I have developed a script which will contimuously monitor Error event log and return event log message as output as soon as new event will occur. I want this script to be used with zabbix.

Please give me any information you have related to this topic?
