    From 2.0.2 to 2.0.3

    Hi, all.

I'm using 2.0.2 and would like to upgrade to 2.0.3.

    How can I upgrade?

Zabbix server is CentOS and all agents are installed on Windows.

Just replacing web files of server and agents files are ok?

I also would like to know answer to this.
The upgrade documentation on the website is for 1.8.x to 2.0.x

Its very easy to upgrade the server from 2.0.x to 2.03 if you've built RPM packages, just edit for the names of your packages. The existing (older) agents will still work, you don't need to upgrade them unless you have a specific reason to do so.

      Code:
      /sbin/service zabbix-agentd stop
      /sbin/service zabbix-server stop
      rpm -Uvh zabbix-2.0.3-1.x86_64.rpm zabbix-agent-2.0.3-1.x86_64.rpm zabbix-server-2.0.3-1.x86_64.rpm zabbix-frontend-php-2.0.3-1.x86_64.rpm zabbix-sender-2.0.3-1.x86_64.rpm zabbix-get-2.0.3-1.x86_64.rpm
      # remove old symbolic link, create new symbolic link to version 2.0.3
      rm /var/www/html/zabbix
      ln -s /var/www/html/zabbix-2.0.3 /var/www/html/zabbix
      /sbin/service zabbix-server start
      /sbin/service zabbix-agentd start

        From 2.0.2 to 2.0.3

What if we did not build rpm? All we have is the tar files from the main website.

If you didn't build RPMs, then I think it would depend on how you installed the previous version. There are no changes to dependencies, config, or db schema from 2.0.2 to 2.0.3, so you just need to stop the old versions, update, and restart. Whatever you did to install 2.0.2, you should be able to do that again for 2.0.3 (instead of "rpm -Uvh") and it should work. Backing up your db beforehand is always a good idea.

I have installed the source version(2.0.2). How can I know config, db schema changes of 2.0.3?

I can't understand Zabbix doesn't provide the official guide of upgrade.

Whenever the new version is released, is it the best way to re-install it?

The release notes are posted (there's a link from the main zabbix.com page under "Download -> Release Notes"):
              http://www.zabbix.com/rn2.0.3.php

If there are any special procedures they will be listed in the release notes. In this case, under "Upgrade", it says:

"Recompile Zabbix binaries and update front-end PHP files. Execute a database patch if migrating from Zabbix 1.8.x. See Zabbix Manual for a detailed upgrade procedure."

This may help (or not oO):

                  cd /root
                  wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/z...x-2.0.3.tar.gz
                  tar -zxvf zabbix-2.0.3.tar.gz
                  /etc/init.d/zabbix_server stop
                  /etc/init.d/zabbix_agentd stop
                  cd zabbix-2.0.3
                  ./configure --enable-server --enable-agent --with-mysql --with-net-snmp --with-libcurl --with-ldap --with-openipmi --with-ssh2
                  make install
                  cd /srv/www/htdocs/
                  mv zabbix zabbix-2.0.2.old
                  mkdir zabbix
                  cd /root/zabbix-2.0.3/frontends/php
                  cp * /srv/www/htdocs/zabbix -R
                  cp /srv/www/htdocs/zabbix-2.0.0.old/conf/zabbix.conf.php /srv/www/htdocs/zabbix/conf/
                  /etc/init.d/zabbix_server start
                  /etc/init.d/zabbix_agentd start
                  zabbix_server --version

                  =D
