Rule of Thumb for Zabbix Network Traffic?

    Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum. My question is, how may I calculate the betwork-traffic caused by Zabbix (not exactly ;-)?

Is there a "Rule of "Thumb"? e.G. average 1000 byte per item or so?

    Thx in advance!

I don't exactly know what a betwork is,
but when I look at my ingoing and outgoing traffic, and assuming that during the time, when I am not looking at the web interface, most all traffic is Zabbix items,
I come to about 600 - 700 B per second per active item.

I am on a small network with only about 12 item values/sec, so the calculation may not be very accurate. Also, if you monitor several quickly growing logs, there may be a lot more than this.

    Greetings, Jerry

      I must admit, I too

Thanks for you answer, so 1000 Bytes would not be too bad. The forecast is for a small network, there will be no monitoring of logfiles at all.

      Greetings!
