there are two panels on a default zabbbix dashboard: "System status" and
"Host status".

What is a diffrence between "system" and "host" in zabbix ?
Why there are two different panels?

A little bit different functionality between the two is all.

In the top panel, you can acknowledge alerts per-host.

Bottom panel will give you a link on the server name that will take you to the status of triggers for that host. Bottom panel also shows total number of hosts with and without issues.

I am only guessing, but probably to give that different functionality, they had to do 2 different panels and give them slightly different names. (I probably would have reversed the naming and given the top panel name "Host status" and the bottom panel "System status".)
