Hi!, I´ve installed Zabbix 1.0 on a Debian 3.1
I´m a trying to monitor a Windows 2003 server that is running HTTP, FTP and SMTP. I want to do this trough simple cheks. I´ve added the host and aplied the Host.standalone template.
Once I´ve donde this, I go to the "alarms" and this is the result:
2006.May.24 13:23:53 IMAP server is down on bfws92 ON Average
2006.May.24 13:23:53 News (NNTP) server is down on bfws92 ON Average
2006.May.24 13:23:53 WEB (HTTP) server is down on bfws92 OFF Average
2006.May.24 13:23:52 Email (SMTP) server is down on bfws92 OFF Average
2006.May.24 13:23:52 FTP server is down on bfws92 ON Average
2006.May.24 13:23:52 SSH server is down on bfws92 OFF Average
2006.May.24 13:23:52 POP3 server is down on bfws92 ON Average
But no matter what changes I do to the server (turn on or off the HTTP, FTP and SMTP services, change firewall status, etc) the alarms doesn´t change.
I´ve tried Zabbix Agent for Win32 and works fine. But I want to do this with the simple check function.
I´ve also tried to add simple cheks functions manually, like icmpping without success (I´ve got the fping application installed and the user zabbix has permmison to run it). To do this I´ve added an Item "bfws92:icmpping" and then a trigger "{bfws92:icmpping.last(0)<1}" and the result in alarms is UNKNOWN.
Has anyone got any idea of what I´m doing wrong??
thanks!
