    Configuration of Email Notification for Web Monitoring.

    Please help us to configure Notifications only when our site is down for more than 10 Minutes.

    Currently we configured scenario and then trigger as {Zabbix server:web.test.fail[Personal Site].last(0)}#0 .

    We are getting frequent emails that it is down and in second we also get mail that the issue is now "Ok".

    We also tried {Zabbix server:web.test.fail[Personal Site].count(300,0)}#0 but in this case we are not getting any alerts.

    In our server there runs a script so that our apache will be down for 3 minutes so please help us to configure Zabbix in such a way that we need email alert only when the site is down for more than 10 Minutes.

    Please help us.

    Thanks
    Geo

    No idea why the expression doesn't work as expected.
    To get an idea what actually the result of .count(300,0) is put:
    Code:
    {Zabbix server:web.test.fail[Personal Site].count(300,0)}
    somewhere into the message.

    What about doing something different?
    Think about the trigger what it actually is, a condition. Leave the trigger expression as it is to represent the current status of your service.
    Then edit your action (action operation) and set:
    From = 2
    To = 2
    Step duration = 600

      We set it as follows:

      From = 2
      To = 2
      Step duration = 600

      But at this time we are not getting any mail.
      Please help us to resolve this issue or any alternative way for it.

      Thanks

        With this setting

        From = 2
        To = 2
        Step duration = 600
        (As shown in the attachment)

        We got email after one hour.. So please help us to configure tfor getting mail after 10 minutes.

          Sounds like the default step duration is used.
          What happens if you set 'Default operation step duration' in the action tab of your action to 600 too?

          Edit:
          Sorry, my mistake.
          Steps start allways on 'default step duration' x 'from step' and 'Step duration' configured within action operations are then used for 'step to'.

          Set 'Default operation step duration' to 600 as mentioned before and reset the step duration of the action operation itself back to 0.

            Issue Solved

            Thank you very much.

            The default value for "Default operation step duration" was 3600 and I changed to 600 and it is now working fine.

            Thank you,
            Geo
