HAAAAA zabbix proxy deleted all my database !

    Hi everyone,

strange thing happened with a zabbix 1.8 and proxy 1.8 as well both running on centos. After creating a proxy and giving mysql access to it, i soon discovered after a few seconds that my whole database was broken.
Zabbix server was only showing one host (the proxy) monitored by the proxy
    Everything else was empty.
In mysql, data was still there.
We had to restore the server from backup so everything is fine but if someone has an idea of what i did wrong i would appreciate
This problem started to occur when i set the proxy to active

Obviously now that i read the 1.8 documentation but the proxy.conf file is a bit misleading.
I haven't checked yet in version 2.* but i think it would be a good idea to put a warning in comments to prevent this kind of stupid mistake

sounds reasonable. i changed the default in proxy config file from zabbix to zabbix_proxy, added a warning on the comment there ("Warning: do not attempt to use the same database Zabbix server is using.") and also in :
