Zabbix Agent unreachable on CentOS 6.3

    Hello!

I try to add my CentOS 6.3 host to Zabbix 2.04 monitoring system.
I have installed agent on this host, but in Monitoring page I see following:

Zabbix agent on CentOS is unreachable for 5 minutes

(CentOS - it's name of my host)

    Selinux and IPtables are disabled.
No firewall between Zabbix server and this host, ping is working.

Agent is running and listening 10050 tcp port:

    [root@centos /]# netstat -ntpl | grep zabbix
    tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:10050 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2185/zabbix_agentd

How can I resolve this problem?

You said ping is working, but can you telnet to the zabbix agent from the server? Also, does the zabbix_agentd.conf file have the correct info for the Server line?

I too am having problems getting the agent to talk to the server on CentOS x86_64 systems (seems to work fine on i386/i686 systems). I have verified my settings multiple times, but they just won't talk to the zabbix server. I'm running zabbix 2.0.5. In my case, i have the agnet on CentOS 6.3 and 5.9 64bit boxes. The third box is a 6.3 32bit system and the agent works.

Works for me on CentOS 6.3 x64 with either the "zabbix-agent-1.8.15-1.el6.x86_64" or the "zabbix20-agent-2.0.3-4.el6.x86_64" package.

It must be a configuration issue.

Got it working by downgrading from 2.0.5 to 1.8.16. Guess I'll stick with the 1.8 tree for now.

What status does the Zabbix agent have when you go to the "Configuration"->"Hosts" page in the gui and look at the host that has issues? Is it red? What does it say when you hover over the icon if it is? As I mentioned earlier in this thread, is the agent configured to accept connections from the server in zabbix_agentd.conf? What happens if you try to telnet to the Zabbix agent from the server?
